Aberfeldy 33 Year Old Exceptional Cask is a rare and prestigious single malt that represents the pinnacle of the distillery’s limited-release "Exceptional Cask Series." Hand-selected by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod, this whisky is prized for its immense depth and the hallmark "honeyed" richness for which the Perthshire distillery is famous. Most expressions of this age are sourced from a single cask—often a refill bourbon hogshead—where the spirit has rested for over three decades, allowing for an extraordinary integration of wood and malt. On the nose, it offers an opulent bouquet of fragrant heather honey, overripe orchard fruits, and delicate waxy notes, accented by hints of toasted cereal and soft vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and incredibly smooth, showcasing layers of creamy toffee, sun-dried apricots, and sweet oak spices, leading to a long, sophisticated finish with a gentle, warming complexity.
