What “Absolut Green Sequin / Wicked for Good” Actually Is
-
A promotional collaboration between Absolut Vodka (a Pernod Ricard brand) and the WICKED movie (Universal Pictures).
-
Meant to evoke the imagery/colors of WICKED — green (like Elphaba’s skin), sparkle, theatricality. The “green sequin” seems to refer more to the visual/packaging or cocktail garnish side (glitter, green accents) rather than a unique flavored vodka base.
Keep in Mind. . .
-
The base spirit is standard Absolut Vodka (grain-distilled, neutral, clean, 40% ABV).
-
The “green sequin / Wicked for Good” is a style/theme, not a flavor; the green/golden/green shimmering effect comes from cocktail ingredients, glitter, or garnishes, not from a new flavored vodka base.
-
If someone uses it in a “Wickedly Dirty Martini” or similar, then flavors like dry vermouth, olive brine, glitter, maybe green coloring/garnish, etc., are added in via the recipe.
Suggested Uses & Cocktail Ideas
-
Wickedly Dirty Martini (Absolut + dry vermouth + olive brine + edible green glitter + green olive garnish) — a signature of the campaign.
-
Oz-inspired cocktails: Cosmopolitan with green twist (“Oz mopolitan”), signature pink & green cocktails, shimmering punches.
-
Presentation props: green sequin or shimmering elements in garnishes or glassware; themed glassware to match movie icons.
-
Pair with events: movie watch parties, theater outings, themed bars/restaurants that are offering “Wicked-inspired” cocktails.

Fun Usage & Upgrade Ideas
-
Color / sparkle twist: These Wicked cocktails often get “extra magic” by using edible green or pink glitter, especially for themed parties or photo-worthy moments. The glitter is usually added just before serving so it floats/swirls.
-
Glassware matters: Use martini/coupe glasses for martini-style, highball or punch glasses for juice mixes; chilling glasses adds polish.
-
Garnishes for theatrical effect: Coffee beans, fruit zest, colored picks, olives — and using metallic or themed tools (gold or emerald picks) to tie into the Wicked aesthetic.
-
Serving for groups: The “Popular Pink Punch” and “Ozmopolitan” scale well; prepare a pitcher version (multiples of the parts) so guests can serve themselves. Add sparkling water or a fizz for volume and effervescence.
