Adictivo Reposado is a sweet-forward, oak-embracing tequila that emphasizes smoothness and rich barrel character. While not a lean or aggressive reposado, it offers a soft, drinkable profile—ideal for sipping or mellow cocktails when you want oak influence with baseline agave warmth.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Adictivo Tequila is produced in Jalisco, Mexico, using 100% Blue Weber Agave.
This reposado variant is aged for eight months in French oak barrels, which lends it its golden hue and wood-driven sweetness.
The aging in French oak (rather than new charred American oak) helps preserve more subtle oak notes, rather than aggressive char intensity. The brand positions itself within the modern “luxury tequila” space, often embracing bold flavor additions and finishing influence.
Tasting Profile
Nose: Cooked agave, light oak, and hints of honey and vanilla.
Palate: Smooth and moderately sweet — delivers caramel, baking spice, and light citrus overtones with underlying agave.
Finish: Gentle and prolonged, with hints of brown sugar, wood spice, and a touch of oak dryness.
Critics and user reviewers note that sweetness and oak influence may overshadow pure agave character, especially compared to leaner tequila styles.
Food Pairings
Pairs well with grilled seafood, citrus ceviche, or light pork dishes. It also works in Oak-forward Margaritas, Tequila Old Fashioned, or Highball-style pours where you want subtle oak presence without overwhelming the drink.
