This odd looking contraption can actually make great coffee. In fact, great coffee might be an understatement. Perfect your brew and you can compete in the annual AeroPress Championships (which is a serious thing!).
Don't be overwhelmed though! This method can actually be pretty forgiving for newbies. The BPA-free coffee maker is quite small, which makes it fantastic for travelling. No way you're going to settle for a hotel coffee maker on your vacation! And if you're looking for something even smaller (with its own mug carrying case), check out the new AeroPress Go!
AeroPress coffee tastes better because the ground coffee is completely immersed in the hot water, which gives a fast extraction of the coffee flavour compounds. It's a brew time of about 2 minutes or less, which means that if you had it brewing for 3-4 minutes like a French Press, you would be getting an incredibly over-extracted & bitter brew. Add convenient and fast to the 'pro' column. You can learn how to brew it by watching our brew guide for the AeroPress!
This AeroPress comes with a 100 paper filters to start you off! Please note that the 2023 AeroPress original no longer comes with filter stand or funnel.
