Discover the iconic Canadian beer that traces its rich heritage back to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1820. Founded by Scottish immigrant Alexander Keith, this ale is a classic of the Canadian Maritimes. The brewery itself is one of the oldest working breweries in North America. When you crack open a Keith's, you're not just enjoying a beer—you're tasting over two centuries of brewing history!
Don't let the name confuse you: Alexander Keith's is the original balanced ale. Unlike modern, hop-heavy IPAs, this classic recipe reflects an older, more understated style of British ale, offering a smooth, approachable taste.
-
Appearance: Pours a beautiful, clear pale gold colour.

Flavour Profile: It's brewed slowly using select malted barley and a proprietary yeast strain. The taste is malty and smooth, featuring gentle sweetness with subtle notes of black licorice.
-
Hops: This ale uses North American flavour and bittering hops but remains mildly bitter and lightly hopped for distinct drinkability.
