Alfred Schladerer Schwarzwälder Himbeergeist is a clear wild raspberry spirit made by the Alfred Schladerer distillery in Staufen, Germany, at the edge of the Black Forest. The producer specifies fully ripened wild forest raspberries and an especially high berry content for this classic expression. This U.S. single-bottle release is presented in a 750 mL format at 42% ABV / 84 proof, with the exact UPC corroborated by multiple current commerce records and the package label.
Schladerer describes its fruit spirits as part of traditional craft and digestif culture, with aromatic fruit character at the center of the style. For Himbeergeist, the producer emphasizes ripe wild raspberry rather than barrel influence or added flavor claims. The clear spirit and label-facing “Wald Himbeergeist” designation distinguish it from a raspberry liqueur: this is a dry, high-strength fruit spirit built around the aroma of the berry. Serve in a small tulip-shaped glass at a cool temperature to focus the raspberry aromatics, or use a measured pour where a clean berry note is wanted.
