Experience Alta Verde Assenzio Amaro, a rare revival of a classic Adriatic bitter that showcases the distinctive character of assenzio (wormwood). This 750 mL bottle captures a flavor profile that was once common throughout the Adriatic region but has been seldom found in the last half century.
Tasting Profile:
- Prominent assenzio (wormwood) provides classic bitter backbone
- Alpine herbs, citrus, and spice create a balanced, complex profile
- Verdant, forest-like aromas evoke summer in the mountains
- Impressive length with intertwined bitterness and gentle sweetness
- Bright herbal notes provide balance throughout the palate
Serving Suggestions:
- Mix with citrus and tonic or soda for a refreshing highball
- Serve over ice with a generous squeeze of fresh lemon
- Add to cocktails for depth and a drying effect to balance sweetness
- Pairs exceptionally well with tequila and mezcal in mixed drinks
Alta Verde brings authentic Adriatic tradition to modern palates, offering complex bitterness and herbal character that's perfect for adventurous amaro enthusiasts. Its unique wormwood-forward profile makes it an intriguing addition to any spirits collection.
