Asbach 8 Year Old Brandy
A beautifully presented gift option, this Asbach 8 Year Old Brandy comes from the historic German distillery founded in 1892. Crafted by Asbach in Rüdesheim from select wine distillates, it honours the original Hugo Asbach recipe and proudly features the family’s heraldic lion.
This brandy is double‑distilled in copper pot stills and aged for at least eight years in small French Limousin oak casks, then refined further in German Spessart oak. This method produces the smooth, rich flavours that distinguish this expression.
- Asbach 8 Year Old Brandy opens with rich dried fruit aromas, layered with bitter chocolate and cedar‑wood spices.
- On the palate it feels full‑bodied, showing a robust ripe fruit character, gentle almond hints and warming spice.
- The finish is long and aromatic, with ripe fruit lingering alongside toffee and vanilla echoing softly.
This brandy pairs beautifully with dark chocolate truffles.
