Basil Hayden Malted Rye introduces an entirely new flavor profile within the rye category, delivering an unexpected softness and approachability. This unique expression leverages a malting process that transforms the rye grain to deliver a more subtle, mellow spice with delicate sweet and floral notes. Crafted with a 100% malted rye mash bill, this whiskey imparts a delicate floral aroma and soft notes of vanilla and toasted rye bread, with a light finish of chocolate and warm spice. Bottled at 80 proof, Malted Rye offers a well-rounded, lighter, approachable and refined taste profile that challenges conventional rye whiskey expectations. Perfect for those who want to explore rye whiskey without the intense spice, this expression showcases the innovative spirit of Basil Hayden.
