Privada Storytelling
Every once in a while, a cigar surfaces that reminds us why we obsess over this craft. Big Brown, affectionately nicknamed Big Snuff, is one of those rare treasures. Rolled by Chico Rivas—one of the most talented blenders in the Dominican Republic—this cigar sat forgotten in coolers for more than seven years. Originally created for a client who walked away, it now finds its rightful place in your hands.
This cigar carries a piece of Chico’s defiance and pride. Known for his refusal to compromise, Chico has built a reputation for throwing out anyone who disrespects the leaf or the craft. That energy lives inside Big Snuff. With every draw, you’re smoking a story of perseverance, of a blender finally stepping into the light after years of doing the invisible work behind the curtain.
Flavor Journey
-
First Third: Cocoa and oats lead, with floral notes, oak, and a powdery chocolate smoke that caresses the palate. Bitter chocolate, raisins, and black pepper arrive, followed by a spiced fruit twang reminiscent of mango sprinkled with red pepper and lime.
-
Second Third: The salty-sweet sensation sharpens, like sipping a perfect margarita with lime and salt. Cotton candy sweetness plays with oak and cocoa, while the retrohale delivers powdery black pepper and citrus. Tangy and rich, it’s a revelation in balance.
-
Final Third: The profile deepens into lemons, sesame seed, oak, and black pepper. Cocoa returns with force, riding a wave of creamy smoke. Retrohale explodes with bitter chocolate, sugar, cream, and a peppery finish. Imagine lemon pepper dusted over chocolate and oak—that’s Big Snuff in its finale.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Because Privada doesn’t just chase cigars—we chase stories. This cigar embodies everything we stand for: rare tobacco, uncompromising artistry, and the belief that time transforms good cigars into legends. Big Snuff is not a rushed release or a rebrand. It’s seven years of waiting, resting, and becoming. And now it’s yours.
