The Bruichladdich Octomore 13.1 is not for the faint of heart—it’s a bold, unapologetic, super-heavily peated single malt that pushes the limits of what Islay whisky can be. Distilled from 100% Scottish mainland barley and matured exclusively in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, this limited-release bottling is intense yet remarkably balanced.
With a phenol content of 137.3 PPM, Octomore 13.1 offers a symphony of smoky richness, layered with vanilla, toffee, citrus zest, and a touch of sea spray. Bottled at a cask strength of 59.2% ABV, it delivers raw power with refined elegance—a rare combination in the world of peat monsters.
Crafted with precision at the Bruichladdich Distillery, this expression is non-chill filtered and free of added colouring, ensuring a pure and authentic drinking experience for peat lovers and collectors alike.
