Bulleit Bourbon is a bold, high-rye American whiskey that honors the frontier spirit of Augustus Bulleit, who crafted his original recipe over 150 years ago. Distilled and aged in the heart of Kentucky, this bourbon features a distinctive mash bill with an unusually high rye content—approximately 28%—that sets it apart from traditional bourbons and gives it a spicier, more robust character. Aged for a minimum of six years in charred American oak barrels, Bulleit develops its signature smooth yet assertive profile that has made it a favorite among whiskey enthusiasts and bartenders alike.
The result is a beautifully balanced bourbon with a rich amber hue and an inviting aroma of gentle vanilla, honey, and dried fruit. On the palate, Bulleit delivers a complex flavor profile featuring smooth notes of maple, oak, and nutmeg, while that high rye content provides a distinctive peppery spice that adds depth and character. The finish is clean, long, and satisfyingly warm with hints of toffee and subtle smokiness. Versatile enough for sipping neat or on the rocks, yet bold enough to stand up in classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan, Bulleit Bourbon is an essential addition to any home bar.
