Chapelle d'Ausone is the distinguished second wine of Chateau Ausone, offering the elegance and limestone-driven character of Saint Emilion. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, plum, violet, graphite, cedar, and sweet spice lead to a refined palate with silky tannins, vibrant freshness, and exceptional balance.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, mushroom dishes, truffle risotto, or aged Comte for an elegant Right Bank Bordeaux experience.
96 Points - James Suckling
Packed with chalky energy, this wine combines rich, vibrant blackberry fruit with hints of cocoa powder, dried herbs and graphite. Medium- to full-bodied, it features tightly wound tannins that balance restrained opulence with freshness and precision. Deeply structured and highly impressive, it is a blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now or cellar for further development.
