Tasting notes: Honey, Bergamot, Plums, Sweet Grapes
Located at a staggering 2,350 meters in the Murago district of Sidama, Ethiopia, Bekele Karchara’s farm represents the pinnacle of high-altitude coffee production. A key producer in Ethiopia’s "new wave," Bekele utilizes meticulous slow-drying techniques to develop intense and complex flavor profiles. This honey-processed lot, featuring the prized 74158 variety, is the result of a close partnership with Coffee Collective focused on improved sorting and extended shade drying. The cup is incredibly vibrant and sweet, offering floral notes of bergamot and honey balanced by the deep, juicy flavors of plums and sweet grapes.
