Cointreau Spicy Liqueur
A modern, innovative twist on the iconic French orange liqueur, created by Maison Cointreau in Angers, France. Building on a heritage dating back to 1849, this expression retains the signature balance of sweet and bitter orange peel while introducing a natural chilli infusion for added warmth and complexity.
Crafted under the expertise of Master Distiller Carole Quinton, it is designed specifically for elevated cocktails, most notably a spicy Margarita, while still preserving the clarity and precision that defines the original liqueur style.
- Clear and bright with a clean, crystalline finish. Fresh, zesty orange with sweet citrus oils and subtle bitter peel complexity.
- Palate has an initial burst of sweet and bitter orange is followed by a gentle, building warmth from natural chilli and jalapeño notes. Citrus brightness remains central throughout.
- Finish is long and warming, with lingering orange zest and a gradual, spicy heat.
Ideal for spicy Margaritas, citrus-forward cocktails or modern aperitif serves. Also pairs well with grilled prawns, tacos, ceviche and lightly spiced Asian dishes.
