Sourced primarily from Croft's flagship Quinta da Roeda estate in Portugal's Douro Valley, this classic 2024 Vintage Port marks a historic general declaration. It displays heady, aromatic notes of ripe strawberries, dark plums, rockrose, clove, and subtle eucalyptus. Powerful yet refined on the palate, it delivers an avalanche of exuberant fruit supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and striking fresh acidity built to age for decades.
Food Pairing: Pairs magnificently with rich blue cheeses like Stilton, dark chocolate desserts, or enjoyed as a digestif after formal dining.
97 Points - James Suckling
Ripe blackberries with a touch of figs, dried flowers, violets as well as schist and licorice. The palate is incisive with a silky, exotic, lush texture and an intense vibrancy that is cohesive with the texture, creating a nervous port with a sense of austerity. The vibrancy is enjoyable but it will evolve into a great vintage port. Drink or hold.
