The Davidoff Limited Edition 2025 Year of the Snake marks an exciting start to a new cycle in Davidoff’s acclaimed Zodiac series. With its elegant lancero format—a nod to the sleek and serpentine shape of a snake—this cigar combines a unique blend that’s as striking as its namesake. The lancero’s slim design not only exudes elegance but also enhances the complexity of the cigar's distinctive taste profile, allowing each flavor to glide dynamically across the palate.
The Year of the Snake (7 x 43) showcases an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder, while the filler tobaccos blend Dominican San Vicente with Mexican Negro San Andrés for a captivating taste profile—unlike any Davidoff cigar before. This is the first Davidoff to feature the Dominican hybrid seed 98 from Martín García, known for adding sweet and creamy notes, and only the second time Davidoff’s Master Blenders have included Mexican filler tobacco, known for its ability to stimulate the sour and salty areas of the palate.
Expect refreshing notes of lemon, layered with leather and coffee, making this cigar a bold introduction to the second Zodiac cycle. The lemony freshness is driven by the San Vicente and Negro San Andrés fillers, while the Ecuadorian wrapper and binder balance out the blend with a subtle sweetness.
The Davidoff Year of the Snake Limited Edition is presented in an elegant wooden box of ten, thoughtfully designed with a removable frame and a collector’s coin. Each cigar bears a second band in red with a yellow accent—symbolizing luck and prosperity in Chinese culture. Limited to just 4,200 boxes worldwide, this collection is a true collector’s item.
Suggested Lucky Pairings: Enhance the lemony notes with a Yellow Bird Cocktail, a refreshing blend of rum, orange liqueur, and lime, which harmonizes beautifully with the cigar’s fruity opening. Alternatively, pair it with Lemon Ginger Tea to accentuate the interplay of lemon, leather, and coffee notes as the tea’s ginger keeps the palate refreshed.
