Death's Door Gin
Death’s Door Gin is a craft distilled spirit from Wisconsin, USA, originally founded by Brian Ellison in 2005 as a local agricultural initiative. The brand takes its name from Death’s Door Passage, a treacherous strait near Washington Island, where the organic wheat used in the base spirit is grown.
Now produced at Dancing Goat Distillery in Cambridge, Wisconsin, Death’s Door Gin uses a pared-back botanical mix of juniper, coriander and fennel. The base spirit is made from red winter wheat, malted barley and corn, distilled in a dedicated Carl hybrid pot still. It is certified vegan and vegetarian.
- Death’s Door Gin opens with bold juniper, soft fennel and a touch of floral spice
- The palate is smooth and warming, with coriander and pine notes balanced by subtle sweetness from the base spirit
- Finishes clean and herbal, with lingering fennel and citrus spice
Pairs well with grilled seafood, herbed chicken or spiced vegetarian dishes.
