Produced in Italy within the island region of Sicily, specifically from the Contessa Entellina estate and surrounding territories in southwestern Sicily, Dolce & Gabbana Donnafugata 'Tancredi' 2021 represents an iconic, luxurious, and artistic collaboration between high fashion and historic Sicilian winemaking. Crafted by the Rallo family of Donnafugata in partnership with the luxury house Dolce & Gabbana, 'Tancredi' draws its name from one of the central noble characters in Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa's famous novel The Leopard. Sourced from estate vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils at elevations up to 400 metres, the winemaking philosophy combines temperature-controlled fermentation on the skins, extensive maceration, and aging in French oak barrels (a combination of new and second-passage barrels) for over 12 months followed by extended bottle aging. The result is a prestigious Sicilian red of profound depth, Mediterranean elegance, and exceptional cellaring capability.
