The Dolin Chambéryzette Strawberry Aperitif is a charming fusion of wild alpine strawberries and the classic Vermouth de Chambéry style. It was originally formulated by Rosalie Dolin in 1902 as “Chambéry-fraise,” drawing on strawberries from the Rhone-Alps region to infuse depth, charm, and fruit brightness. The spirit base is a blanc vermouth, macerated gently with real strawberries and a delicate suite of botanicals, so that the fruit notes take center stage without overwhelming the wine-herbal backbone. In the glass it carries a vivid strawberry-red hue, inviting one to sip slowly or pair boldly with mixers. It’s crisp yet rounded, bright yet balanced. Use it over ice, in a spritz, or as a subtle accent in cocktails that benefit from a fruity herbal twist.
