New Holland distills this formidable spirit using a prohibition-era pot still. This unique copper vessel builds viscous magic! Instead of chasing efficiency with column stills, they patiently mature the bourbon for five years before transferring it into a heavily toasted secondary cask. A massive twenty-five percent malted barley mashbill obliterates traditional rye spice expectations. The whiskey brims with unrestrained, primal energy. It's a remarkably decadent pour.
Secondary maturation amplifies the wood influence. The freshly toasted oak barrels unleash waves of caramelized sugar and intense baking spices directly into the slumbering liquid. You'll quickly notice a prominent orchard fruit character piercing through the dense, charred canopy. This specialized finishing technique tempers the formidable barrel proof heat while layering robust complexity entirely over the malt-forward distillate. It completely transforms the original profile. Instead of a typical bourbon, you receive an intricate, heavily spiced elixir that demands deliberate contemplation with every single glass you pour.
