Crafted in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico, at the historic La Guarreña distillery, El Tequileño Private Selection Blanco is a ultra-rare, unreleased micro-batch expression created exclusively for private clients and bespoke barrel programs. Distilled from 100% estate-grown Weber Blue Agave cooked in steam autoclaves, crushed in roller mills, and fermented with mineral water from El Volcán de Tequila, this expression undergoes a unique finishing process: it is gently mellowed for 14 to 15 days in hand-selected French oak casks. This brief, tailored resting period preserves the crisp, unadulterated agave core while imparting subtle sweetness, delicate orchard fruit tones, and a velvety textural roundness.
Food Pairing: Fresh oyster ceviche, seared sea scallops with citrus glaze, grilled lobster tail, goat cheese crostini, or carpaccio with capers and olive oil.
Tasting Notes: Crystal clear with a faint, shimmering pale-straw reflection and unctuous, slow-running tears.
Nose: Vibrant and complex, opening with rich cooked agave, sweet pear, and green apple, supported by zesty lime peel, white pepper, and soft, warm French oak vanilla.
Palate: Silky, round, and remarkably smooth on the palate, featuring sweet agave nectar and juicy orchard fruit upfront before unfolding into layers of cracked black pepper, subtle spice, and mineral spring freshness.
Finish: Medium-long, clean, and elegant with lingering notes of crisp agave, ripe pear, and a delicate, rounded oak warmth.
Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn snifter or Riedel Tequila glass at room temperature, or over a single large ice sphere to fully appreciate the unique French oak barrel influence.
