FEW brews up an eye opening new experience. Cask strength bourbon is mashed, fermented, distilled, aged and bottled at the FEW distillery then “cut” with cold brew coffee. Cold Cut most definitely drinks like a whiskey despite this unique angle. Whiskey flavors dominate – but smooth cold brew delivers unexpected depth and boldness. Makes a mean, bold, Manhattan.
The cold brew is sourced from a local specialty coffee-maker in Chicago called Passion House. Through a lot of experimentation they found that cold-brew coffee was less bitter — and therefore a better compliment to the natural flavor profile of their Bourbon. Remarkably balanced, with the coffee note more of a compliment and lingering finish on this noteworthy dram.
