Higher proof. Pure agave character. Fortaleza straight from the still 700 mL
Fortaleza Tequila Blanco Still Strength is a bold, exceptionally expressive tequila bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), offering a more intense look at Fortaleza’s celebrated traditional tequila-making style. Produced from 100% Blue Weber agave in the Tequila Valley of Jalisco, Mexico, this unaged expression showcases cooked agave in its purest form.
Fortaleza is renowned for traditional production methods, including slow-cooking mature agave in brick ovens, crushing it with a traditional tahona stone, natural fermentation, and distillation in copper pot stills. The Still Strength expression is bottled closer to the proof at which the tequila comes from the still, delivering greater concentration, texture, and agave intensity than the standard Blanco.
Expect a beautifully rustic profile filled with cooked agave, citrus, olive, herbs, black pepper, and earthy minerality. Despite the elevated proof, it remains remarkably balanced and rewarding—especially for tequila enthusiasts who appreciate traditional, additive-free-style agave character.
👃 Nose
Cooked agave, fresh citrus, green olive, black pepper, herbs, earthy minerals, and subtle vegetal notes.
👅 Palate
Rich and full-bodied with roasted agave sweetness, lime and citrus, olive brine, cracked pepper, fresh herbs, and distinctive mineral character.
🎉 Finish
Long, warming, and intensely agave-forward with lingering pepper, citrus, herbs, minerals, and roasted agave sweetness.
