Freeland Spirits Forest Gin is a distinctive Pacific Northwest gin that captures the essence of the lush Oregon wilderness in every bottle. Created by Freeland Spirits, a woman-owned and operated distillery in Portland, this small-batch gin showcases a unique botanical blend that goes beyond traditional juniper to embrace the aromatic flavors of the local forest. Infused with hand-foraged ingredients including Douglas fir, stinging nettle, and other native botanicals alongside classic gin elements like cucumber and citrus, Forest Gin offers a refreshing and innovative take on the London Dry style. Each batch is carefully distilled to highlight the bright, herbaceous character of the Northwest while maintaining the balance and complexity that gin lovers appreciate.
The result is a beautifully aromatic gin with a crisp, clean profile and inviting notes of fresh pine, citrus, and earthy herbs. On the palate, Forest Gin delivers a bright juniper foundation enhanced by subtle cucumber coolness and the distinctive resinous quality of Douglas fir that adds unexpected depth without overpowering. The finish is smooth and refreshing with lingering herbal notes and a gentle botanical complexity. This versatile gin excels in classic cocktails like gin and tonics or martinis, where its unique forest botanicals can truly shine, but it's equally enjoyable sipped neat or over ice to fully appreciate its artisanal character. Whether you're exploring craft spirits or seeking a gin that tells a story of place, Freeland Forest Gin offers an authentic taste of the Pacific Northwest.
