This is a bold, high-proof, single-barrel bourbon that exemplifies the heat-forged style of Texas whiskey. With rich caramel, toasted oak and baked-fruit depth, this is a sipping bourbon made for fans who appreciate intensity and craft in every drop.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Born on the ranch of Garrison Brothers in Hye, Texas, this bourbon is produced from a mash bill that emphasizes sweet corn, red winter wheat and malted barley, then aged under the intense Texas sun in new charred American white oak barrels. The “single barrel” designation means each bottling comes from one unique cask selected for its exceptional flavour-profile. The “cask strength” version is bottled at the natural barrel proof—often well above standard bourbon strength—without dilution, capturing the full potency and character of its maturation.
The single barrel format has been lauded for its variability—each barrel offers a distinctive taste-journey, making each bottle feel artisanal and unique. This barrel is 131.8 Proof.
Tasting Profile
-
Nose: Deep copper hue mirrored in scents of rich caramelised corn, toasted oak, butterscotch, vanilla bean and nutmeg, wrapped in Texas sun-warmed grain.
-
Palate: Full-bodied and intense—molasses and dark-roasted nuts emerge, followed by baking spice (cinnamon, clove), leather, and a whisper of fresh red fruit. The high proof brings warmth but remains balanced.
-
Finish: Long and lingering—peppery heat, charred oak, honeyed stone fruit and hints of mesquite smoke leave a satisfying, slightly rugged after-taste that invites another sip.
