Bananas, originally inedible due to their many seeds and little pulp, were domesticated 5,000 to 10,000 years ago, making them the widely consumed fruit and vegetable we know today. With an impressive annual production of 130 million tonnes and main producing countries such as India, China, the Philippines, Brazil, and Ecuador, bananas are a staple in various regions of the world. While not a juicy fruit, bananas can be pureed and added to drinks, such as with Giffard Banana Syrup, which provides the classic and exotic banana flavor.
The syrup is made with natural ingredients, including sugar, water, concentrated banana juice, natural banana flavoring, citric acid, acacia gum, and apple extract, and does not contain preservatives. For best taste, try diluting the syrup in water, sparkling water, cocktails, mocktails, lemonade, fizzy drinks, and smoothies, or even milkshakes like banana-caramel-milk
