Gérard Bertrand Banyuls Traditionnel 2018 is a natural sweet red wine from AOP Banyuls in France’s Roussillon region. The exact authenticated supplier item identifies this vintage as a single 750ml bottle at 16% ABV (32 proof). Gérard Bertrand describes the cuvée as Grenache-led, drawing on Grenache Noir and Grenache Gris grown on the steep, schist-rich slopes of Banyuls. Grapes are harvested by hand, and fermentation is stopped before pressing by fortification on the skins, followed by an extended 14-to-20-day maceration.
A portion of the wine is matured in barrel while the remainder rests in tank to retain its fruit character. The producer describes a ruby-red color with violet reflections, aromas of ripe red and black fruit, and a full, balanced palate shaped by blackcurrant, blackberry preserves, and delicate woody notes. Gérard Bertrand suggests serving it around 16°C with fruit desserts, Catalan pastries, or as an aperitif. This listing is for one 750ml bottle; the supplier’s six-bottle case count is wholesale logistics information rather than a consumer multipack.
