The folks at LaStella celebrate the sun that ripens their grapes and brings warmth to their life. LaStella is situated at Osoyoos Lake in the sunny South Okanagan valley of beautiful British Columbia. Here the vineyards produce great fruit, which LaStella craft into such proprietary wines as Allegretto, Vivace, and Maestoso. Each wine has its own story–and to convey this unique story they have named their wines after Italian musical notes.
The best wines come from the best vineyard sites and reflect the local conditions. The Okanagan Valley is one of the best wine regions in the world with its unique climate and variety of elevations and soils. LaStella spent the better part of a decade searching out and acquiring some of the best vineyards in the entire South Okanagan. From their home block on Osoyoos Lake District to their incredible Feuille D’Or vineyard on the equally renowned Golden Mile, each of their properties brings unique and special character to the wines they make.
While certified sustainable by SWBC, LaStella do not employ systematic organic farm certification as they believe the spirit of engaging in sustainable and organic farming practices should not be for marketing and sales purposes. Instead, it should be done for the good of the land and for the good of those who work and live on it, including their families.
