his newest edition in Freddie Noe’s Little Book series is a bold, high-proof blend of straight bourbons and rye aged between 7 and 11 years. Bottled at 121.8 proof, “None for Granted” celebrates the foundational flavors of American whiskey: think caramel, vanilla, and oak, while showcasing subtle innovation through unexpected additions like a brown rice mash bourbon and extended fermentation techniques inspired by grandfather Booker Noe’s legacy.
On the nose, expect comforting aromas of caramel and brown sugar, layered with soft apple, butterscotch, and just a hint of barrel char.
The palate opens with rich caramel and creamy butterscotch, giving way to baking spices and stone fruit with a touch of warmth from the higher proof.
The finish leans into lingering oak tannins, spice, and a subtle dryness that balances the sweetness.
This is a whiskey best appreciated neat in a Glencairn glass to soak in its nuances; or with a few drops of water to soften the heat and coax out more fruit and spice. It's an ideal pour for fans of classic, full-flavored American whiskey with a thoughtful twist.
