Lulu Spritz is a premium, ready-to-drink (RTD) "Aperol-style" wine spritzer that brings the Italian aperitivo tradition into a convenient canned format. Produced by Station 22 in Quebec, it was specifically designed to capture the refreshing, bittersweet profile of a classic spritz without the need for multiple bottles and mixing. It is marketed as a sophisticated "summer quencher" that balances professional mixology standards with the portability of a 355ml can.
Description
The drink is characterized by its vibrant, deep orange color and a "frizzante" (lightly sparkling) texture.
-
Nose: It leads with a bright, aromatic bouquet of zesty Sicilian citrus and a complex herbal undertone.
-
Palate: The entry is light and refreshing, featuring the crisp acidity of Italian Pinot Grigio. This is immediately followed by a "sublime bittersweet" middle, where the botanicals from the orange bitters provide a sophisticated, slightly medicinal edge typical of Italian aperitifs.
-
Finish: Clean and drying, with a lingering herbal complexity that encourages the next sip.
-
Strength: It is bottled at 7% ABV, making it a "sessionable" choice for long afternoons or pre-dinner drinks.
