The Matilde Para José Seijas transcends being merely a cigar; it stands as an homage to José Seijas, a pivotal figure in premium tobacco. As the longtime leader of Tabacalera de García, Seijas shaped modern cigar artistry. This toro, measuring 6 x 52, celebrates his legacy with rich complexity and refinement. Crafted by hand at Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic, it blends a smooth Ecuadorian wrapper with a Dominican binder and fillers matured over a year for exceptional harmony. The flavor journey begins with notes of coffee and black pepper, evolving into nuances of oak, toasted almond, nutmeg, sourdough, and sweet hay. Subtle earthy tones and a hint of clove on the finish reflect masterful craftsmanship. Balanced and layered, it honors Seijas’s lasting impact on Dominican tobacco.
