Produced in Italy by Distilleria Nardini, the country’s oldest grappa distillery founded in 1779, Nardini Amaro reflects over two centuries of tradition. Still family-owned, the distillery is located in Bassano del Grappa in the Veneto region, renowned for its expertise in distilling fine spirits and amaros.
Liqueur Description
Nardini Amaro is a deep mahogany liqueur crafted from a secret blend of botanicals including bitter orange, gentian root, peppermint, licorice, and spices. On the nose, it offers enticing aromas of dark chocolate, citrus zest, and cooling mint. The palate is rich and complex, with layers of mocha, espresso, liquorice, and herbal freshness balanced by a subtle sweetness. Medium-bodied and silky in texture, it finishes long and harmonious, with a lingering bittersweet note of cocoa and mint. Best enjoyed neat, over ice, or in creative cocktails, its versatility makes it a refined choice for both sipping and mixing.
Food Pairing
This amaro pairs beautifully with rich chocolate desserts, roasted nuts, or strong cheeses such as gorgonzola. It also complements citrus-infused pastries and works well as a digestif after hearty Italian meals.
