Plymouth Sloe Gin is a traditional fruit gin liqueur made by steeping whole sloe berries in Plymouth Gin, bottled at 52 proof.
Plymouth Gin has been distilled at the Black Friars Distillery in England since 1793. Sloe gin dates to the earliest days of English gin, when the astringent sloe berry — the fruit of the blackthorn — was steeped in gin to draw out its rich flavor. Plymouth keeps to that tradition, steeping whole sloe berries in its gin for a deep, fruity, naturally sweet liqueur.
Tasting Notes
Rich and fruit-forward: ripe sloe and dark berry, almond, and a touch of spice, with a smooth, gently sweet finish.
