Podere San Cristoforo Amaranto 2019 is an elegant, organically farmed expression of coastal Sangiovese that genuinely reflects the maritime influence of the Maremma region. It presents a lively ruby red hue and an inviting, vibrant nose bursting with crushed wild berries, spiced black cherries, and a touch of dried Mediterranean herbs and delicate florals. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied red is remarkably fresh, energetic, and completely focused. It showcases a stellar core of juicy red and blue fruits complemented by a distinct underlying minerality, fine-grained, integrated tannins, and a remarkably savory, long, and silky finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, hearty wild boar ragù, traditional Bistecca alla Fiorentina, grilled Tuscan sausages, and mature hard cheeses.
