This superior red wine originates from the Chianti Classico DOCG in the Tuscany region of Italy. Founded in 1974, the Querciabella estate is surrounded by the 'beautiful oaks' that give the winery its name and are intrinsic to the character of its business. The winemaking philosophy is rooted in a deep commitment to site selection and plant-based biodynamic viticulture, aiming to create a uniquely faceted expression of the Sangiovese grape by meldings nuances from diverse vineyard locations.
Wine Description
The Querciabella Chianti Classico Riserva 2021 presents a clear and sparkling ruby red colour. The sensory profile is delicate yet precise, featuring leading aromas of red roses, menthol, strawberry, and subtle black pepper, balanced by undertones of graphite and top soil. On the palate, the wine is powerful and cohesive, showcasing well-integrated, velvety tannins and a tangy, zesty acidity that creates a vivacious mouthfeel. It is characterized by its enormous density, depth, and sinewy structure, leading to a long lasting fruity finish with a bolt of citrus lightening.
