When tobacco is set aside to create a Rocky Patel cigar, the leaves are grouped in successively smaller groups to ensure the best tobaccos are used for an upcoming blend. Individual groups are numbered and sampled by Patel and his team of master cigar makers. One batch in particular caught everyone's notice, and it was decided that group 6 was a blend ready for the big stage. Keeping its group name, the Rocky Patel Number 6 series is loaded with award winners, including the 93-rated Number 6 Corona.
Number 6 cigars are handmade at Patel's El Paraiso factory in Honduras using a titillating mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan filler tobacco and a Honduran binder. An oily Honduran Corojo wrapper leaf shelters the blend. The enticing 6" x 44 Number 6 Corona is perfect for hour or shorter escapes.
The Number 6 Corona's medium-bodied smoke is built around a lively concoction of pepper, leather, cedar, and earth notes. Hints of baking spice enter the fray to provide a bit of balance and deeper complexity to the experience. Sweet and creamy nuances populate the Number 6 Corona's backend, making for a clean and rewarding finish.
The Rocky Patel Number 6 Corona's great taste and smooth character were enough to land it on many Cigars of the Year lists. The cigars are a great choice for any cigar enthusiast wanting rich yet balanced smoke enhanced by the exceptional craftsmanship for which Rocky Patel cigars are so famous.
