Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum is named for Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, who lived from 1911 to 1973. He served in the Navy and became a pioneer of old-school tattoo art in Honolulu. The rum honors his bold, no-shortcuts style. Today the brand belongs to William Grant & Sons, a family-owned Scottish distiller.
This Spiced rum starts with a blend of Caribbean rums. Its character comes from a recipe of natural spices, not long years in wood. Vanilla and cinnamon lead the way. You will also pick up almond and a touch of cassia. It ends long and warm, with vanilla and spice.
The U.S. bottle is 92 proof, so it has real strength. Even so, it goes down smooth.
This bold flavored rum loves ginger. Try it on the rocks with ginger beer and fresh lime, or keep it simple with cola. It is a staple of our rum category and an easy add to your spirits collection.
