Sam Houston Small Batch Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is a bold, limited-production Kentucky bourbon that leans into richness, maturity, and collectible appeal. Bottled at a robust 108 proof, it delivers a full-bodied profile of oak, caramel, and dark fruit with a structured, spice-driven finish. What sets it apart is its **extremely small batch construction—often just a handful of barrels—**giving each release a sense of rarity and individuality. This is a bourbon built for enthusiasts who appreciate both flavor and story.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Sam Houston Small Batch Reserve is produced in Kentucky and designed as a premium, limited-release bourbon honoring the historical figure Sam Houston. Each batch is intentionally kept very small—sometimes composed of only a few carefully selected barrels, reinforcing its collectible, micro-batch identity.
Unlike standard “small batch” bourbons that may include dozens or even hundreds of barrels, Sam Houston emphasizes transparency and rarity by including batch-specific information on each bottle, such as:
- Batch number
- Number of barrels used
- Total bottles produced
This level of detail underscores the handcrafted nature of each release.
The whiskey is aged in new charred American oak barrels and bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV), providing both structure and intensity while maintaining balance.
The brand’s philosophy centers on producing high-proof, stately bourbon expressions that highlight traditional Kentucky character—oak, spice, and depth—while maintaining a polished, approachable finish.
