Savage & Cooke is the brainchild of legendary winemaker Dave Phinney — the man behind Orin Swift — who brought his obsessive attention to sourcing and blending to the world of American whiskey. Operating out of Mare Island in Vallejo, California, Savage & Cooke sources exceptional barrels and bottles them with the same curatorial eye Phinney applies to his wines.
The Cask Strength Rye is their most uncompromising expression — intriguing and inviting right from the start. Citrus, tropical, and floral notes evolve to white pepper and toasty vanilla on the palate. Rich, layered, and complete. Bottled without dilution, this is the whiskey exactly as the barrel intended.
