The Spiegelau Craft Beer Tasting Kit features one each of Spiegelau's three glasses which have been approved by an expert tasting panel of master brewers and industry professionals.
Focusing on beer enjoyment, members of the tasting workshop tested multiple glass shapes to find the best glass for India Pale Ale, Wheat Beer and Stout beers. In the experts’ opinion, the custom-shaped glasses successfully deliver the complexity of aromas on the nose while demonstrating the optimum beer texture, balance and flavour intensity on the palate. Staying faithful to the spirit of Bavarian artisan craftsmanship, Spiegelau have created these unique, functional glasses to bring out the best in complex craft beers.
IPA: Designed to showcase varying aromatic profiles for the American 'hop forward' IPA beer, this glass preserves a frothy head and maintains a comfortably wide opening for the drinker to "nose" the beer.
STOUT: Expertly crafted, tested and approved, the Spiegelau Stout glass accentuates the roasted malt, rich coffee and chocolate notes that define the Stout beer style.
WHEAT BEER: The American Wheat Beer glass encourages the fruity ester aroma typical of American wheat beer and Belgian-style Witbier. This glass was developed in collaboration with Laura Bell of Bells Brewery. Its shape optimises the style's delicate and fruity aroma, enhancing its soft texture on the palate while still maintaining balance with its characteristically refreshing style.
All Spiegelau glasses are dishwasher safe.
