Statti Gaglioppo Calabria IGT 2024 750ml is a southern Italian red wine made from Gaglioppo in Calabria. Statti’s official page identifies it as a Calabria Indicazione Geografica Tipica wine and describes a traditional vinification at a controlled 22–26°C, including seven days of skin maceration. The wine then ages for three months in stainless steel, preserving the variety’s fruit and the producer’s intended balance of freshness and smoothness. This 2024 release is a single 750ml bottle at 13% ABV / 26 proof.
Vias Imports describes a ruby-red wine with intense cherry and spice aromas, joined by more delicate notes of violet, pomegranate, and ripe plum. On the palate, the wine combines a pleasant, elegant character with good structure, freshness, and smoothness. The stainless-steel maturation keeps the focus on Gaglioppo’s fruit rather than oak influence. It is an exact expression of Calabria’s native red grape and carries the regional IGT designation stated by the winery.
