Throw Back Fernet 750ml is a California interpretation of traditional Italian-style amaro from Black Market Spirits. The producer lists small-batch maceration with 20 selected herbs, spices, and botanicals, along with distillation on a 150-gallon copper pot still. It is bottled at 35% ABV / 70 proof. The recipe emphasizes classic Fernet bitterness, earthy depth, and layered botanical character. This listing is for one 750ml bottle, matching the exact bottle and label shown.
The official tasting notes open with dried-fruit character alongside earthy, forest-like aromas. The palate brings herbal, chocolate, and anise notes together with cacao, mint, and spice. A slightly dry finish leaves lingering cocoa bitterness and maintains the spirit’s bitter-herbal structure. Black Market Spirits identifies Throw Back as its signature Fernet and produces it on California’s Central Coast. The producer’s use of 20 selected botanicals and copper-pot distillation gives the expression a detailed production framework, while the official notes define its dark, earthy, and spice-led profile.
