Aberlour A'bunadh Sherry Cask is a legendary, cult-favorite Speyside single malt Scotch whisky crafted as a tribute to Aberlour’s historic distilling traditions. Released in continuous numbered batches, this expression is matured exclusively in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts and bottled straight from the wood at a formidable cask strength without chill filtration or added coloring. It is widely considered the quintessential "sherry bomb," boasting an incredibly dense, full-bodied, and syrupy texture. The nose bursts with aromas of mixed baking spices, pralines, and spiced Seville oranges, harmonizing with deep, dark notes of Oloroso sherry. On the palate, it delivers an explosive wave of black cherries, dried sultanas, ginger, and rich demerara sugar, beautifully balanced by dark bitter chocolate and robust, charred oak tannins on a long, warming finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs exquisitely with rich, savory dishes like slow-roasted prime rib, venison stew, mature blue cheeses like Stilton, or decadent desserts like black forest cake and artisanal dark chocolate truffles.
