With just two years since our last vintage of Erste While Pinot Grigio, this former Gold Medal-winner is sure to win a spot in your glass. California's climate is ideal for winegrowing. Dry heat and days filled with sunshine are relieved by breezes and fog that roll off the Pacific Ocean, making the evenings cooler and more moderate. These conditions give the fruit a chance to develop deeply concentrated flavors and natural acidities. With unique soils in each subregion within the state and picturesque rolling hills and deep valleys, it's no wonder that the state produces some of the world's favorite wines. Lighter varietals like Pinot Grigio, which love the sunshine but need cool evenings, thrive in the environment. Our 2020 vintage is lively and zesty on the palate, with ripe fruit flavors and a bright acidity. Slightly sweet and incredibly refreshing, this wine is a perfect light aperitif for weekend lunching with friends, whether on your back porch or among the rolling hills of California's wine country.
