A wine which embodies the essence of Tuscany, dedicated to the inhabitants of Il Borro and ideal for every occasion. Ageing in wood gives complexity to the wine. The resulting blend brings with it all the fruity, floral freshness of Sangiovese, and the strength and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. Vibrant aromas of fresh red fruit, cherries, and white pepper with a pleasant mouthfeel, acidic and well-refined tannins.
Pairs well with simple meat dishes, fresh to slightly aged cheese, and broth based soups.
91 Points - Wine Enthusiast
The nose is defined by the subtle energy of wild strawberries, raspberries, blood orange, warm brick and top soil. Raspberry jam and wild cherry candy star on a palate which is both sweet and tart, then the earth tones return, before a chili pepper heat and a sprinkle of salt finish things off.
