The 2024 release of Isle of Raasay cask strength whisky takes their peated and unpeated spirts and matures them separately before marrying them together in a mixture of first-fill rye whiskey, fresh Chinkapin oak and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks. Bottled at a cask strength of 61.3%.
- Enjoy lightly peated notes on the nose intertwined with dark berry fruits
- The palate is bold and powerful with more notes of stewed fruits, chocolate and hints of kitchen spices
- Only 8400 bottles have been released globally with 1000 bottles released to the UK market
'This cask-strength release of Raasay distillery's signature single malt was matured in first-fill rye casks, fresh Chinkapin oak and first-fill red wine casks from Bordeaux. A lightly peated character is driven forward by powerful dark fruit, maple syrup, lemon posset and toffee.' The Whisky Exchange
